Geography & demography
Barcelona is the capital of the autonomous community of Catalonia in Spain. Located in northeastern of Spain, close to France and the Pyrenees. It has a population of 1.700.000 inhabitants, making it the second largest city in Spain, after Madrid.

The official languages in Barcelona are spanish and catalan.
Time schedules
The time schedule for the majority of the stores of the city is from 10:00 am to 02:00pm and from 04:00pm to 08:00pm from Monday through Saturday. However, it is important to notice that some stores in the main commercial areas of the city do not close during the day. With respect to the shopping malls, the scheudules are even more flexible than normal stores as you can enjoy a stay from 10:00am until 10:00pm with no lunch break, also from Monday to Saturday.
