Sónar is the International Festival of Advanced Music and New Media Art that will take place next 12, 13, 14 June in Barcelona.
Sónar 2014 will present until 155 performances. The festival offers a kaleidoscopic tour of dance music, from its origins (with fundamental Chic feat. Nile Rodgers) to the new benchmarks of bass music (artists like Rudimental, DJ Snake, Pretty Lights or Visionist), coexisting with key names of the current and future electronics (Four Tet, Oneohtrix Point Never, James Holden and Jon Hopkins, among others). Highlights include the world premieres of new shows from Massive Attack, Plastikman and Röyksopp & Robyn, along with classics like Chic or Neneh Cherry.
Sonar + D become international congress of digital culture and interaction platform for creative and technology industries, which extends festival vocation for innovation and business opportunities in the field of music, audiovisual, transmedia and interactive content. Sonar + D has more than 140 activities and nearly 3,000 accredited.
